Matt Fuller
Horn
I started learning to play the Tenor Horn at the age of 7 at my local Salvation Army in Clydebank. Since then I joined the Senior Band at Clydebank at 14 and continued to enjoy being taught & conducted by my Dad. Through my school days I experienced playing in East Dumbartonshire Schools Orchestra and attending Summer Salvation Army Music Courses. After leaving school I was lucky enough to start my contest banding with Kirkintilloch Kelvin Brass where I enjoyed 8 fantastic years in the Championship Section before moving to The Co in 2019. Winning the Scottish Championships with the Co has definitely been the highlight so far. Alongside the Co I still play Solo Horn with the West Scotland Youth Band & Clydebank SA. I’ve also had some enjoyable “one-off” banding experiences, highlights including touring America with The Household Troops Band & a taking part in the Rose Parade in California with the “A” Band of Territorial Music School in 2019. Outside of banding I work as a Manager in a Retail Electronics Company. I also love to travel and play football when time allows!
