Matt Fuller
Horn
The position of First Horn is supported by Fuller Family
Matt Fuller began learning to play the Tenor Horn at the age of seven at his local Salvation Army in Clydebank. At 14, he joined the Senior Band in Clydebank and continued to enjoy being taught and conducted by his father. During his school years, he gained valuable experience playing in the East Dumbartonshire Schools Orchestra and attending Summer Salvation Army Music Courses.
After leaving school, Matt was fortunate to begin his contest banding journey with Kirkintilloch Kelvin Brass, where he spent eight fantastic years in the Championship Section before moving to The Co in 2019. Winning the Scottish Championships with The Co has been the highlight of his musical career so far.
Alongside The Co, he continues to play Solo Horn with the West Scotland Youth Band and Clydebank Salvation Army. He has also enjoyed several memorable “one-off” banding experiences, including touring America with The Household Troops Band and participating in the Rose Parade in California with the “A” Band of Territorial Music School in 2019.
Outside of banding, Matt works as a Manager in a Retail Electronics Company. He also enjoys traveling and playing football whenever time allows.
