The parade, which kicked off around midday at Kelvingrove Park, snaked its way through Sauchiehall Street and Merchant City before arriving at Barrowland Park for afternoon festivities.
The Cooperation Band: Brass at the Heart of Pride
A highlight of the day was the Cooperation Band, Glasgow’s renowned brass ensemble. Founded in 1918, the band is a 36‑time champion of the Scottish Brass Band Championship.
Their performance resonated through Sauchiehall Street, amplifying the celebration with lively march standards and powerful fanfares. The band later shared on social media:
“It was another great Glasgow Pride and is always a privilege for the band to be able to participate!”
They galvanized the crowd, energized volunteers, and reminded everyone of the power of music in community celebration and activism.
